Thermostatic expansion valves regulate the injection of coolant into the vaporizer. The injection is controlled by the overheating of the refrigerant. Therefore, expansion valves are especially suitable for injecting liquid into the “dry” of the evaporators where overheating at the outlet of the evaporator should always be kept constant. Available with MOP (Maximum Operating Pressure), it protects the compressor against excessive vapor pressure.
